# Coast and Castles Camping

> Off-grid camping, glamping and campervan site near Boulmer on the Northumberland coast. Established 2021 by three local lads on a former RAF admin site.

## About the Site

Coast and Castles is a small, independently run campsite set on eight rewilded acres near Boulmer, Northumberland (NE66 3NU). The site was built on a decommissioned RAF admin base (RAF Boulmer, decommissioned 1996) by Mark, Gareth and Paul — three local friends who converted the land into a campsite during the 2021 staycation boom.

The site runs on an off-grid solar-hybrid power system. Electric hook-ups operate between 6:30am and 11:30pm.

## Accommodation & Pitches

- **Glamping Bell Tents** — Five extra-large and two small bell tents. Double bed, chair beds, basic kitchen (gas hob, kettle, pots, crockery). Outside: gravelled area, table, chairs, steel fire pit. 6amp EHU included. From £95/night.
- **Glamping Timber Pods** — Three self-contained timber-framed pods with their own WC (toilet and sink). Sleep 2–4. Gas kitchen, decking, fire pit, 6amp supply. From £95/night.
- **Camping / Grass Pitches** — 15 family pitches and 8 adult-only (quiet) pitches. All 10m × 8m minimum. 4 electric tent-only pitches available. From £22/night (family), £24/night (adult-only), £28/night (with EHU).
- **Tourer & Motorhome Pitches** — Grass and gravelled hardstanding with EHU from off-grid solar. Motorhome service point (chemical and grey-water disposal, water points). From £28/night (grass), £32/night (hardstanding), £12 (service only).
